Description
Accompanied by your informative guide, you will board the raft at the base of the mighty Hoover Dam, for a view of the dam that few people have the opportunity to see. The rafts are outfitted with safety equipment required and recommended by the Coast Guard so you can feel safe along your journey.
Make sure to bring your camera because the views of Black Canyon and ghe surrounding areas are breathtaking. You may catch a glimpse of bighorn sheep and other types of wildlife as you glide along the smooth waters.
Your raft will stop along the way to give you a chance to cool off in the clear waters below the Hoover Dam. Take time to enjoy your boxed lunch that is provided, while listening to the desert sounds. Watch the stunning contrasts in color between the water and Black Canyon's walls.
The trip will end at Willow Beach, on the Arizona side, where you will have time to shop for souvenirs before returning to your Las Vegas hotel.

You should definitely take this trip! Jeff was a fabulous guide who really took pride in educating everyone on the trip. You can sit in the front section of the raft if you really like to get some cold spray off the river. If not sit in the middle or back of the raft and you will enjoy the ride anyway. We stopped for 20+ minutes which was long enough to go for a quick dip in the river and eat. Not to mention we were fortunate enough to see several big horn sheep and have pleasant weather in August which is hard to do. You wont regret it. Taken 8-1-10.

Our guide was wonderful, knowledgeable and fun. The views of the canyon from the river were beyond extectations. On the down side, getting reservations was a nightmare. I had confirmation, then it was cancelled, I called and they reconfirmed for a different day. It too was messed up because they scheduled it for the day I was flying in. I called again and got it straightened out again. That night, hours before I got on my flight to Vegas, I got an email saying again that I was not confirmed. I responded by email that I was on my way and expected to be on the tour. As I waited at my hotel for the pick up bus, I still didnt know if I was going. Once the bus showed up, the experience turned positive. Good transport, good guide, fun trip, made a friend with whom I had a nice dinner that night and we are still communicating...

This was an excellent day out. Our guide was very informative, but also fun. My children aged 12 and 14 also had a great day swimming in the river. I would recommend this for any age (except the very young).

Waaaay better than expected. You start the tour less than a mile from the bottom of the Hoover Dam and are looking up at it. The tour guides kept us entertained the entire time and there was tons and tons to see. A very unique vantage point of both the river and the dam. Well worth it!
