Grand Canyon Colorado River White Water Rafting One-Day Adventure with Helicopter Ascent (Raft)

Description

Let us pick you up at Downtown Las Vegas & Strip hotels onboard our air-conditioned motor coach or minibus. Leave Las Vegas behind and head south towards the Grand Canyon!

We'll cross over the Hoover Dam before continuing on to Kingman, Arizona. After driving down historic Route 66, we'll check in with our river raft guides.

Then, hop onboard the tribal bus for a scenic, though bumpy, 17-mile drive down to the river on the only road into the Grand Canyon. At the river, put on your life jacket, put your camera in the watertight camera box & listen to the safety instructions.

Then, get ready as we hop onboard an inflatable, motor-powered raft & hit our first rapids just seconds from pushing off! You will get wet! Raft 40 miles through Class 3 & 4 (out of 6) rapids for about 5.5 hours!

When your raft trip ends, you'll still be in the depths of the Grand Canyon. Our jet helicopter picks you up near the river. Then, climbs among spectacular 4,000-foot cliffs from the river to the tribe's modern airport at the Grand Canyon West Rim (7 minutes approximately).

From the air terminal, return on a relaxing, comfortable journey (2.5 hours approximately) to Las Vegas!

Loved the rafting experience. My only complaint was with the van that took us to the Canyon. Our driver was sent on this trip with a tire that was obviously out of balance and shook us all the way to our destination. On the way home, the tire finally blew, and we had over an hour wait in the desert because there was no spare tire in the van. That should never have happened.

Wonderful guides - my teenagers had a blast on the whitewater part of the trip. The guides were friendly and made sure we had fun. They stopped many times for swim breaks, and to explore a waterfall. The rafting part of the trip couldnt have been better! However, waiting for the helicopter ride was miserable. We waited for 2 hours in 100+ degree weather with no water provided. We watched as a second tour was helicoptered in for a short river ride while we waited for the helicopter ride out of the canyon, and was finished with their river ride and placed back on the helicopters before us. We had left Vegas around 4:30 am, and did not get back on the helicopters until 7 pm (after waiting in the hot sun for 2 hours). Many older people were struggling in the heat, but the helicopter company (different from the American Indian river raft company) were insensitive and put the other group ahead of us anyway. We returned to Vegas at 9:30 pm. So, in short, the river raft ride was spectacular, but the wait for the helicopters was miserable.

This was a fantastic white water adventure that we have always wanted to do. We have done several rivers in Oregon where we live but this one beat them all for excitement! We are both 77 years old and got lots of comments on why we would even consider doing such a rigorous trip at our age, but we didnt even consider that aspect. Thanks for providing us with the opportunity to do the dream trip of a lifetime on the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon!

The first hour you get all the rapids (I think it were 9 pcs) and you will get totally soaked, if you seat is in the front at least. Despite the heat (120F / 39C) in the middle of June, the water was surprisingly cold, but very nice!! After hiking and climbing into a waterfall, the rapids were gone and everybody could enjoy the magnificent views of the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon area. This trip was amazing, a great experience and I would recommend it to everybody!

Hi, I was wet to the skin after the 3rd rapid, only a no. 4 out of ten. it was an awesome experience, to top it off, I was driving the boat along the colorado river for an hour with the captains compliments and was told that I was the first Australian to do so this season. to see my lady friend soaking wet to the skin as I was, great, what an experience, she loved it..to see the waterfall in the cave we claimed up and in to was fantastic. the whole experience was great and I would do it again.

I think we were the oldest couple on this tour (55). A little sore for a couple days afterward. But we loved every bit of it. The next time we come out we will do it again. The adventure of a lifetime.

The whole trip was fantastic from the moment we were picked up, to dropping us back at the hotel. Our guide was extremely friendly and informative. The raft ride was exhilarating and a great experience. To travel through the Grand Canyon this way was an outing never be forgotten. The raft pilot was fun and again informative. The helicopter lift out was again a fantastic experience. The only caution: we had superb weather, but the water was cold. Buy a poncho and bring some warm clothes which they will put in a waterproof container, just in case you are not as lucky as we were with the weather. Wow factor - 10 out of 10! I would do it again, tomorrow.

Great experience. Although the pickup was a bit of a struggle, the bus driver was an excellent guide who knew a lot about the area. The Native American raft-driver was a lot of fun, and knew the river very well. It never felt unsafe, and the trip was not too long, not too short. Other guests were also great! Nice helicopter bonus.
